Patagonia is known for its notoriously strong winds and when I saw this scene unfolding I knew I had to find a good vantage despite the ruthless weather. From a small island I photographed as hurricane force gusts howled across Lago Pehoe and for just a moment, revealing the ghostly peaks of the Cuernos mountains emerging through the storm.
